The first piece in my "Breaking Through" series.This was inspired by the constant propaganda that we get from the media. The figure is breaking through the wall of words, trying to find the truth behind them. It is a dynamic life-sized figure, created from printer's type-face.

A few finishing touches..... I do all the welding and mould-making for my work myself, so that I can ensure it maintains it's initial inspiration.

This is a unique piece, which was first made in clay, then cast in plaster. Finally, the plaster cast was filled with dripped-in copper, which took on the shape of the original piece.

This was created from a random collection of type-face and copper off-cuts, which I melted and dripped into a mould, to see what would emerge.
